Tall ships, clippers and historic vessel replicas built from archival drawings — with hand-stitched sails and rigging. Quote on request.
A wooden tall ship model is the most demanding work our workshop takes on — and the work we are proudest of. We reconstruct vessels from archival plans, period paintings and photographs, consulting maritime historians where records are incomplete.
Research before building
Every replica starts with a research dossier: hull lines, rigging plan, sail plan, paint scheme and fittings documented from primary sources. You review this dossier before production, so the model is a documented reconstruction, not a generic “old sailing ship”.
Hand skills in every wooden tall ship model
Sails are hand-stitched from real cloth with visible seam lines. Standing and running rigging is tied knot by knot following the original plans — a single model can carry over 100 working hours of rigging alone. Hulls use plank-on-frame construction so wood grain shows through the varnish, as on the original vessel.
Where they end up
Maritime museums, heritage foundations, historic hotels and private collectors who want a faithful piece of seafaring history — a wooden tall ship model of an Age of Sail frigate, a famous clipper or an early steamship.
