Project background
This illuminated cruise ship model was built as a hotel lobby centerpiece at 1:150 scale. It features more than 400 individually fiber-optic lit windows, a fully detailed promenade deck with lifeboats, and the operator’s exact funnel livery reproduced from official brand guidelines.
Engineering the illuminated cruise ship model for permanent display
The model was engineered for public display: a reinforced internal frame prevents hull flex over time, and all lighting runs on a hidden low-voltage system with a serviceable access panel for maintenance without dismantling the case.
On-site handover
The illuminated cruise ship model shipped in a reinforced wooden crate and was assembled, leveled and calibrated on site by our technicians within one day — the hotel lobby stayed open throughout the installation, and staff received a short lighting-operations briefing at handover.
